Welcome to another great week at Jahn School of Fine Arts.

Check backpacks today! The Spring OST afterschool program applications are going home today!

Registration is ongoing for a brand-new session of after-school basketball instruction at Jahn. Starting Friday, January 19th for K-6th, the objective of this program is to provide young players a positive basketball experience through fun and engaging instruction, while increasing knowledge of the sport.

I hope you and your families are safe and warm during this cold weather. Welcome to the second week of this second half of our school year. Due to the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday and the cold temperatures, this week is extremely short.

Congratulations to our robotics team on a successful sectional competition! The Rad Robots braved the cold to compete on Sunday and came home with a trophy for finishing first in Core Values. They also qualified to move on to the FIRST LEGO League state competition in February. Check out the team and their robot creation!

Come to the Parent Advisory Council (PAC) meeting on Tuesday, January 23rd at 8:15a in the Parent Room. The first half of the meeting we will learn all about Aspen: functions, how to use and how to sign up. During the second half, Ms. Margo will help people sign up, reset login, add multiple students to one account, etc. There will be Chromebooks available.

Happy New Year!!! Welcome to the second half of the 2023-24 school year at Jahn School of Fine Arts. I am excited for the two remaining quarters. What you will see are more opportunities for you to be on campus, as well as lots of student-led activities. The remainder of this school year has our entire school community in mind and is student-focused.

The Fall Session 2023 after school programs by Jahn staff ended on December 21st. We are planning to begin our spring term the week of January 29th. Please be on the lookout for applications coming home one day next week with new program offerings!

Save the date for the 2nd Annual Winter Wonderland on Saturday, February 3rd from 10am-2pm. Our school community and surrounding neighbors get a chance to escape the cold and see Jahn transformed for this event open to the public!

Our monthly school tours are back with the next one being tomorrow January 9th! Prospective families are welcome to walk the hallways with Dr. Kimbrough on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 9:00am. Come see what Jahn's about! We encourage our current preschool families to check out what's happening with our K-8 students as well.
