I was lucky enough to preview the Literati Book Fair last week. There are a lot of interesting titles, and I am grateful to our dedicated volunteers for bringing this to our school.
We are so excited to announce the start of a two-week theater residency program for our 6th-grade students with Skyline Children's Theater! From April 20th to May 6th, this one-hour daily program during the school day will explore storytelling, character development, and theatrical performance through the beloved story of Finding Nemo Jr.
Join us for a spring shopping night at local boutique Love, Charlie, and Little Charlie next door on Wednesday, April 29th, from 5 to 8 pm. 20% of sales ALL DAY will be donated back to Jahn, including online orders. Great gift ideas for Mother's Day or something for Give to Grow Night!
The fine arts team is pleased to present our Annual Visual Arts Show and Earth Day Celebration on Wednesday, April 22nd, from 4:30 to 6 pm. This event will provide families with the opportunity to see artwork from ALL PreK-8th students across the building while enjoying student-led Earth Day activities outside on the playlot.
Jahn School of Fine Arts is a Chicago Public School in the West Lakeview / Roscoe Village neighborhood that serves children from preschool to 8th grade. We empower creative thinkers through high-quality teaching, fine arts programming, and by celebrating diversity.
Our students are the center and soul of our school. At Jahn, we strive to empower them to be lifelong learners and use the arts as communication, creative personal realization, connectors of culture and history, a means to wellbeing, and community engagement.
