Grace Mavros
Hi everyone! My name is Grace Mavros, and I started teaching at Jahn School of Fine Arts as a third grade teacher in 2021! My passion for school and learning arises from the positive impact teachers in my life have had on me, and I cannot wait to do the same for my own students. I grew up in a south suburb of Chicago and moved to the city for college, and decided I would stay after knowing I wanted to work here! I completed my student teaching in CPS in a third grade classroom and loved every part of it so I am thrilled that I get to implement the practices I learned in my own classroom! I graduated from Loyola University with a degree in Elementary Education. I have endorsements in ESL, Reading, and an IB Certification because I want to be sure to accommodate and challenge the different learners in my classroom. I believe wholeheartedly in creating a classroom environment that is welcoming and celebratory of the students who are in it and I am so appreciative of the opportunity to have my own group of future leaders who I can grow with this school year!
