Greetings Husky Families
The month of March brings a number of things to the Jahn campus. From our Spring Showcase (this Thursday) to next week’s Spirit Week, you do not want to miss anything happening before the start of Spring Break.
Below are a few reminders of things happening:
Spring Showcase (Thursday, March 13th): Our Spring Showcase is this week. We look forward to you joining us for the program starting at 5 pm. OST programming will be canceled for this day.
Student Council Spirit Week: Please help our student council bring Spirit Week to life next week. Each day has the following theme:
- Monday: March Madness Monday - Dress in your favorite sports team gear
- Tuesday: Classroom Color Day (classrooms choose a color that they’ll wear)
- Wednesday: Be A Tourist Day - Dress like a tourist
- Thursday: Craft Day with your Book Buddies
- Friday: Pajama Day
Report Card Pick-Up (RCPU)/Parent-Teacher conferences (PTC) - Tuesday, April 1st: Being that our Report Card Pick Up is right after Spring Break, it will be during regular school hours. Parent-Teacher conferences will be from 9 am to 12 pm and then 12:45 to 3 pm. Be on the lookout for invites from your child’s classroom teachers.
Security Officer Appreciation Day (Tuesday, March 11th): On Tuesday, we will celebrate our security officers. Please take a moment to show your appreciation tomorrow or any day this week.
School Food Survey: Please take a moment to complete the annual CPS School Food Survey by Friday, March 21st. This survey uses their feedback to improve school meals next school year and beyond. The survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete and must be filled out in one sitting. The CPS Department of Nutrition Support Services will award a special prize to the elementary school and high school with the most survey responses. If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
Reminder | Nominations Now Open for Crossing Guard of the Year Award
CPS is currently encouraging school communities to nominate their favorite crossing guards for the District's Crossing Guard of the Year Award using this form. Students, staff, school leaders, parents, and other community members are all welcome to submit a nomination for a crossing guard who has made a difference in their lives. The form will be open until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14th, and the winners will be determined and acknowledged on Monday, May 19th and announced during the Crossing Guard Rally. If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
There are a number of events happening on campus during the month of Month. Please take a moment to review the monthly calendar that was sent home or our website for details.
Have an amazing week.
