Greetings Husky Families
Welcome to another week at Jahn School of Fine Arts. We are almost at the halfway point of Quarter 3. Progress reports will go home with students on Friday.
Many thanks to those who assisted in celebrating our counselor, Ms. Torres, for counselor appreciation week.
Please take a moment to review the updates below:
Entering/Exiting the building: More recently, a few changes have been implemented in an effort to keep our building secure. This includes limited exiting throughout the day via the Belmont and Fletcher doors, as well as, making sure doors are not held open for long periods of time. To assist us, we ask that you take the following steps: (1) adults should use our main entrance when exiting the building; (2) do not hold doors for extended periods of time. While this gesture is kind, we need to make sure no one has immediate entrance to our building (unless being buzzed in).
Talent Show: Many thanks to everyone for your patience with the Google form process for talent show auditions. We are currently reviewing all submissions (including those sent via email). Permission slips will go home with students on Wednesday for Friday’s audition. Our talent show will be on Friday, February 21st. The evening show is at 4 pm. We look forward to seeing you there.
CPS School Food Survey: The District has launched its annual School Food Survey, which is open through Friday, March 21. The survey, which should take less than 10 minutes must be filled out in one setting. Information collected through this survey will be used to improve school meals during the rest of the school year and beyond.
The CPS Department of Nutrition Support Services will award a special prize to the elementary school and high school with the most survey responses! This prize will include a collection of exciting technology devices that will be raffled off to students at the winning schools.
Koffee With Kimbrough: This month’s Koffee with Kimbrough is this Friday with a focus on school safety. During this session, a general overview will be provided around what Jahn does to keep our school community safe.
There are a number of events happening on campus during the month of February. Please review the monthly calendar that was sent home or our website for details.
Have an amazing week.
