2025 Spring Out-of-School-Time (OST) application now live!

Our 2025 Spring Jahn OST Application is now live! Please click on the link for more information and to sign up. You must select an email to sign in and click "next" to proceed. 

All Jahn staff-led programs will take place 3-4 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday (Each program will be 1 day per week). You may sign up for multiple programs. All programs are free of charge. Programs will dismiss from the main doors. A small snack will be provided by the school each day.  

Students with excessive unexcused absences or late pick-ups will not be allowed to continue to participate in the program(s).  

Registration will remain open through January 14th. Late registrations will not be accepted. (This sign-up will close on January 14th). Families will be notified of enrollment on January 17th.  
 
Programs need a minimum of 10 students to run. Families will be notified of any program cancellations on January 17th.  

Spring programs will begin the week of January 27th. Programs will most likely end the week of May 12th.

If you have feedback or recommendations on OST programming, or would like to assist in bringing a program to our school, please fill out this quick OST feedback form.  We are subject to a decreasing OST budget; if you have any connections for free or low cost programming through CPS vendors or parent-led volunteer programs, please reach out!  We would love to offer more extensive programming through tapping into the resources in our school community!

3rd-6th grade: Intro to Robotics WEDNESDAYS (Rookies)

Are you curious about our school robotics team? Learn about how to build and program LEGO robots and prepare for the competition. Open to 3rd-6th graders who have not yet participated but who want to join the robotics team next fall. 

4th-5th grade: Math Tutoring WEDNESDAYS

4th and 5th grade math tutoring with Ms. Judge: I am a teacher who services all students in both their math classes, so I can assist with homework, skill gaps, or reteaching material. I'm eager and excited to keep seeing students flourish in their math classes!

4th-7th grade: Coding Club MONDAYS (Veterans)

Open to students who want to grow and deepen their computer programming skills. Students will build games, control robots and learn to use the Python language. Open to students who have participated in the FIRST Lego League team or have experience with coding.

5th-8th grade: Open Gym Volleyball WEDNESDAYS

Is your student interested in improving their volleyball skills? Come join Coach Knaus and members of the Jahn Girls Volleyball team for an open gym period to practice volleyball skills and engage in some friendly competition in a fun/relaxed setting. Teams will be mixed weekly and if we have enough players, games will be conducted in a round-robin tournament setting. Grades 5-8 are invited and any student interested in potentially playing for the Jahn team next season or in the future should try to attend. There may even be the occasional surprise visit from other teachers and staff in the building. I hope to see you all out there!

5th-8th grade: Rock Band THURSDAYS

Are you a 5th-8th grader who loves music? Whether you’re a budding guitarist, drummer, keyboardist, singer, or any other musician, we want YOU in our rock band! This is a performing ensemble, so get ready to hit the stage, showcase your talent, and rock the crowd. No matter your skill level, this is your chance to jam, make friends, and have a blast!
