Principal Message - October 28th

Greetings Husky Families

As we enter the 2nd quarter, we want to take a moment and bring to your attention a few upcoming events.  By the time this week ends, we will be saying good-bye to October and welcoming November.  While most of us unofficially label our 11th month of the year “No-school November,”  there’s lots of things happening on campus.  Please check out a few reminders below of what’s happening on campus.

Thursday, October 31st - Halloween Parade:  Please join us for our Halloween Parade beginning at 8:30 am.  Weather permitting, this will be held outside and you will be able to witness the event.  Details around the event can be found here: Jahn Food Day Celebration/ Halloween Parade.

Monday, November 4th - Report Card Pick-Up:  Elementary schools will host this event on Monday, November 4th.  Parent-teacher conferences at Jahn will be held from 12-6.  Parents can schedule conferences between 12 to 3 and then from 3:45 to 6. By now, you should have received scheduling information from your child(ren) homeroom teacher.

Tuesday, November 5th - Election Day:  There is no school on next Tuesday in observance of Election Day.  Please take time to share and explain the electoral process with your children.

The SEL theme for the month of November is GratitudeGratitude is the ability to be aware of, perceive, understand, and be sensitive to the feelings, thoughts, and experiences of another person.  Listed below are text that can directly connected to this month’s theme:
