We hope that you are having a great summer.
Since the end of the school year, summer programming has begun. This includes Summer Bridge Plus and a number of Out-of-School Time (OST) offerings. Although we do not have everyone on campus, it is great to see some of our students.
Please read below for a few updates/reminders:
Jahn’s Assistant Principal: Words can not describe my level of excitement around Jahn’s new assistant principal. After a long and thorough process, Dr. Manuel Ferreras was selected as the co-leader of Jahn School of Fine Arts. Dr. Ferreras comes to Jahn with a wealth of experience within the Florida School system, and more recently as the Dean of Students at Lyons Elementary. So if you see an unfamiliar face hanging out with me, it’s more than likely him. Take a moment to say hello.
To welcome him, Friends of Jahn is hosting a Jahn Family Summer Playdate on Wednesday, August 14th on the playground for families to get together with one another and meet Dr. Ferreras. If time permits, please stop by anytime between 5:30-7:30 pm.
Back to School information: Before you know it, we will be back in school. Please take a moment to review some important information about the start of school:
- Kindergarten Meetup - Wednesday, July 31st - 5-6 pm
- Jahn Family Summer Playdate - Wednesday, August 14th - 5:30-7:30 pm
- Back to School Bash - Thursday, August 22nd - 1:30 pm (class lists will be shared at that time)
- Supply lists are available on the website here
- First day of School - Monday, August 26th - 8 am
LSC Vacancy: Are you interested in being an active part of Jahn’s school council? We’re currently looking to fill a parent representative vacancy. We would love for you to be a part. If interested, please reach out to the school for more information.
