Welcome to another great week at Jahn School of Fine Arts. As we continue to embrace Black History Month, please know that we encourage you to join us for any of the events listed below.
- February 13th - African Drum performance - 1 pm
- February 22nd - Food For the Soul (African-American history month dinner) - 10:30 - noon
- February 23rd - Capoeira (Brazilian martial arts dance program - 4pm (auditorium) parents must be in attendance with students
- February 29th - Assembly program - Pre-K - 3rd - 9 am; 4th-8th grades - 1 pm.
A big thank you for your support with last week’s McTeacher Night. In a matter of three hours, we were able to raise a little over $800. A majority of those funds came from our apple pie sales and tips. All funds will support school-wide programming. Thank you!!!!
Please take time to give a big cheer to our Robotics team. This weekend they will compete in the state tournament. We are excited about how far our 1st year team has come. Good Luck Rad Robotics!!!!!
Here are a few reminders for the week:
- Lunar New Year: Please join us this Friday for our Lunar New Year parade. Come check out what our students have created for the celebration. The parade begins promptly at 1:15 pm.
- Popcorn Fridays: Popcorn Fridays are back!!! Take time to support this popular event. Each bag of popcorn costs $1.
- Parents in the building: When attending events/meetings in the building, please assist us by only going to the designated location. Unless you have a scheduled meeting, vIsiting classrooms is strictly prohibited.
- Apply for our LSC: The application window for LSC elections has been extended until February 14th at 3 pm. Please stop by the office for an application.
