Greetings Husky Families
As we enter the final week of the first half of our school year, I would like to take a moment to say thank you. Lots of great things happened on campus during our first two quarters of this school year. Each great thing that happened, stems from our dedicated staff and students, plus the support of each and every one of you. Please stay tuned. There is more to come. I would love to highlight a few things to look forward to in the coming months:
- Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is a top priority!! As I share with you SEL monthly themes, I will also share with you our SEL themes/topics for each grade level (beginning in January). This addition will provide you with an even greater home/school connection.
- A check-in meeting for our new Continuous Improvement Work Plan (CIWP) will be held on Tuesday, January 9th at 3:15 pm.
- My Koffee With KImbrough series will resume in January. The first session will be on Thursday, January 11th at 9 a.m. The topic of discussion will be: Bullying: What is it? What it is not?
- Instruction is a high priority for all grades. With that, I am asking that you assist us by showing dedication (SEL theme for December) to our start time. School starts at 8 am. Although students are eating breakfast, we are being very intentional and attempting to take advantage of every minute students are in front of our staff. Assist us by getting students to school on time.
- Our Culture and Climate team wants to hear from you! Please take a moment to complete the following survey. It is short and will provide our team with information on how to better support families. The link can be found here: Jahn SEL Family Workshop Topics
Finally, while our 2nd quarter officially ends on Thursday, December 21st, grades will not be finalized until the end of day on Friday, December 22nd. Quarter two report cards will go home with students on Friday, January 12th.
For further details around what’s happening on campus, I encourage you to review the calendar sent home or our website for additional details.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you do to support our students, staff, and this school.
