Principal Message - October 10th

Greetings Husky Families

Fall is clearly in the air as we enter Week 8 of the school year.  This quarter is quickly moving forward.  With that, we continue to embrace a number of things during the month of October.  First off, we will close out Latinx and Indigenous Peoples’ month this Friday with a Bomba performance.  For those who are unfamiliar with Bomba.  It is a Puerto Rican dance with African roots where the dancers lead the musicians through lively improvisation and instantaneous creativity.  The performance begins at 1:30 in the auditorium and is open to our school community.  Please join us, if time permits.

The month of October also provides the opportunity to increase our awareness around our SEL theme, Anti-bullying.  It is important that this topic remains in the center of our thoughts.   The topic of bullying is one we can not take lightly.

When you take a peep at our Upcoming Events, you will see that there's a lot of things happening on the Jahn campus.  Two additional events to consider are the following:
  1. Pumpkin Patch - Saturday, October 14th:  Please join us for this annual kick-off to the Fall season.  There will be lots to do for children and adults.  This event runs from 10 am to 2 pm.
  2. Prospective Parents Open House/Tour - Thursday, October 12th:  This event will be at 9 am and 4:30 pm.  The event is a great opportunity for potential families to learn more about the school.  While we do not know the size of the audience for the event, it would be great for potential families to get a perspective of the school from current families.  If you are interested, please let Margo know.
Aside from that, I would like to send good vibes and positive energy your way.

Have an amazing week.
