Greetings Husky Families
It was another great week at Jahn School of Fine Arts. A week where you played a pivotal part in the energy and excitement. That excitement was front and center on Thursday during our Open House. Words cannot express my gratitude towards everyone who was able to join us. Whether or not you were in attendance, please check out the link for my presentation: Jahn Open House 9.7.23. As you review the slides, please take a moment to check out the link in Slide 14. That link takes you to a Ted Talk, Every Kid Needs a Champion. This Ted Talk is led by Rita Pierson, an educator who embodies our theme for the school year, “Every Child Needs A Champion.” As you watch the Ted Talk, you will witness lots of humor. The overall message in the video speaks to building relationships and making connections with students. This is one of our top priorities. While we will provide them with great instruction, please know that building relationships is at the top of our list.
For those who were able to attend, I hope you had a chance to check out our new library. While it is not completely open, it looks great. Many thanks to our Friends of Jahn for making this space what it is. #geekedoutaboutbooks
One important component of our Open House that did not happen was the parent room reps meeting. That meeting will be rescheduled for a later date.
Please read below for a few updates and reminders. One in particular is a chance for you to hear and learn more about our upcoming Continuous Improvement Work Plan (CIWP). On Tuesday evening you will have the opportunity to preview what is in the plan. Details for that virtual meeting are below.
Have an amazing week.
