Greetings Husky Community
The final week of the school year has arrived. With this, I am pleased to report that we have indeed had a fabulous school year. When I reflect on the successes across the building, I have to speak on our arts programming (FAW Fest and Spring Showcase), field trips, the increase in student voice, the semi-departmentalization of our 4th and 5th grades, our middle school Legacy trips, and the many supports from all of our parent organizations, we truly have a lot to celebrate. As we conclude our final days on campus this year, please know that our students are the center of everything happening on campus. Year One was a blast! I am very excited for Year two. There is so much in store for our Jahn family.
Before the school year ends, we have two more days of SEL-abration. On Tuesday, we will host our Awards assembly. Grades 1st-3rd will attend the event at 8:45 am and grades 4th-7th will attend the event at 12:30 pm. On Wednesday, we have our Kindergarten celebration at 8:30 am followed by a reception. At 11:30 am, our Pre-K celebration will round off the year. We would love to see you at one of these events.
The fourth quarter will officially end the final day of school. Student report cards (Kindergarten-7th) will go home with students on Wednesday. Although we are embarking on summer break, it’s important to ensure that our students are academically enriched throughout the summer. To do so, please continue to encourage our students to read at least 20 minutes per day.
Looking ahead, during the month of August you will receive all communication connected to back-to-school. More specifically, you will receive details around our Back-to-School event. For parents who are proactive, you will be pleased to know that the 2023-24 school supply lists will be sent home this week and will be posted on the Jahn website later this week.

Summer Programs: In addition to OST, Jahn will be hosting Preview to PreK from 7/24-8/4 and Kick-Off To Kindergarten from 6/27-7/28 at no cost to families. Both programs are open to those who have completed application packages and times are 9:15am to 1:15pm. Please call the main office or simply stop by the school to register your child and receive more information about these offerings.
