Greetings Husky Community
As we enter the last week of April, we also welcome the 5th week of our final quarter for the 2022-23 school year. Time has really flown by. Our 5th week of school for this quarter also marks progress reports. Progress reports go home with students this Friday. I am excited to see how well our students are doing this quarter.
April also marks the end of this month’s SEL theme, Self Care. During morning announcements this week, I am encouraging students to embrace the self-care tip of taking time to read a good book. One great way to take time and read a good book at Jahn is by supporting our Book Fair. The book fair is happening this week and culminates on Friday afternoon at 3:15 pm with our Family Literacy Night event. Check out the website for details.
On a lighter note, during last week’s FLEX day staff members took time to stretch with our Urban Initiatives soccer team before planting flowers and painting bird houses. When time permits, check out our planters in front of the building. Please take a moment to thank staff members for a job well done.
Finally, please take a moment to check out the upcoming events on campus.
Have an amazing week!
Derrick
