Principal Message - April 30th

Greetings Husky Families

Our school year is quickly passing by.  Before you know it, our 2023-24 school year will be a memory to revisit via our yearbooks (hopefully, you made sure to pre-purchase one).  Before this school year ends, there will be lots of things happening on campus.  Please take time to cherish each and every moment.  Feel free to join us at any and all of the upcoming events happening on campus.

As we end the month of April, we welcome our May SEL theme, Self-Confidence.  Having self-confidence allows people to recognize their potential and learn from their challenges.  It also allows them to see the potential in others and maintain optimism about goal-setting, teamwork, self-improvement, and forgiveness.  In an effort to build on this theme, here are a few books to support this learning:
  • Crown - Derrick Barnes
  • The Thing Lou Couldn’t Do - Ashley Spires
  • I am Enough - Grace Byers
  • My Strong Mind - Niels Van Hove
  • Whistle for Wille - Ezra Jack Keats
  • The First Rule of Punk - Celia C. Perez
  • Blackbird Fly - Erin Entrada Kelly
On another note, stay tuned for details around what we will be offering for our Summer OST programming.

For further details around what’s happening on campus,  please take a moment to check our website.  Our calendar for the month of May will be released later this week.

Have an amazing week.

Crosswalk Safety:  Please assist us in making sure our child is safe.  It is important that we do not block any of the crosswalks or stop in the middle of the street during arrival or dismissal. Please assist us in keeping our students safe.
